Your 7 Day Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your driver-guide will be waiting with a sign to transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. The approximately 90-minute drive offers great views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, weather permitting.
Upon reaching your lodge in Arusha, freshen up and connect with the owners, or relax by the pool or on the terrace with a Tanzanian coffee. Enjoy the sunset with your first sundowner in the Tanzanian evening light. The small guesthouse offers a friendly atmosphere with four bungalows spread across the property.
Overnight at Haradali Home
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Tarangire National Park. The journey takes around 90 minutes through small villages and scenic landscapes. Tarangire National Park Explore Tarangire’s wide panorama of open acacia forests, enormous baobab trees, and expansive grasslands. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds and diverse wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, and a variety of other mammals. Enjoy game drives throughout the day and return to your accommodation for dinner.
Drive to Karatu
Afterwards, drive to Karatu, a 90-minute journey that offers a beautiful view of Lake Manyara along the way.

Day 3: Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park
Travel from Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park in about 30 minutes. At a viewpoint, take in the scenic vistas of the park. Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse habitats, offers opportunities to see tree-climbing lions, a lush rainforest, and flocks of flamingos. A short hike to the hot springs is also recommended. Enjoy a private traditional Tanzanian lunch in Mto wa Mbu, where you’ll explore local life and contribute to community health initiatives.
Return to Karatu Drive back to Karatu, taking in more views of the Rift Valley.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
Drive from Karatu through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Serengeti National Park. Enjoy breathtaking views of the crater rim before descending into the Serengeti.
Serengeti National Park
Enter the Serengeti via Naabi Hill Gate and start your game drives in this iconic savannah. Known as the “endless land,” the Serengeti offers spectacular wildlife experiences.
Stay at the Baobab Serengeti, a tented camp with views of the Serengeti steppe, featuring international and Tanzanian cuisine, a cosy lounge, and options for bush dinners and guided walks.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti’s vast landscapes and wildlife, including the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras. Enjoy lunch in the park, and consider an optional balloon safari for an unforgettable aerial view.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy your last game drives in the Serengeti before heading back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Ngorongoro Crater.
Ngorongoro Crater Explore the crater, known as one of the natural wonders of the world, and witness its rich wildlife and unique habitat. Return to Karatu for the night.
Optional Day 6: Fly-Out Safari
For a more convenient departure, opt for a flight from Manyara Airstrip to your choice of airports in the late afternoon.

Day 7: Karatu to Arusha
Transfer from Karatu to Arusha or Arusha Airport, passing through small villages and experiencing the vibrant city life.
