10 Days Best of Uganda Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a relaxed evening at leisure, recovering from your journey and preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, depart Entebbe and drive north-west towards Murchison Falls National Park. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided walking safari, where you will track Uganda’s only wild rhinos on foot. Continue to Murchison Falls, entering the park and proceeding to your lodge.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park

Today is dedicated to exploring Murchison Falls National Park. Enjoy a morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, searching for elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, and antelopes. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of the spectacular Murchison Falls, with excellent wildlife and birdlife viewing along the riverbanks.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and drive south towards Kibale Forest National Park. The journey takes you through scenic countryside, tea plantations, and rural communities. Arrive in the afternoon and relax at the lodge, surrounded by lush rainforest.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland

This morning, head to Kibale Forest for a guided chimpanzee tracking experience, offering the opportunity to observe chimpanzees and other primates in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a community-led nature walk rich in birdlife and cultural encounters.

Day 6: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and water birds.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start the day with a morning game drive, a prime area for spotting lions, buffaloes, elephants, and Uganda kob. The rest of the day is at leisure, with time to relax at the lodge and enjoy panoramic views over the park.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and travel south-west to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Enjoy the scenic drive through rolling hills, terraced farmland, and forested landscapes before arriving at your lodge near the gorilla trekking sector.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Today is the highlight of the safari. After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on a guided gorilla trekking experience. Spend a magical hour observing a habituated gorilla family in the forest. Return to the lodge for relaxation and reflection on this unforgettable encounter.

Day 10: Bwindi – Entebbe (Departure) – Evening Departure flight through Entebbe International Airport or Kigali International Airport recommended

After breakfast, Your Tour Guide Driver will drive you to Entebbe International Airport. (scheduled flight can be arranged at an additional fee). Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Ugandan safari.
